Vaca

Hey Cannafam! My name is Jeremy Vasquez, or most people know me by the nickname VACA, which means Cow in English. Back in the ’90s, a buddy from High School said it looked like a cow licked my head and made my hair slick back; since then, it has stuck with me. Over the years, I became known in the local cannabis scene for growing and supplying some of the best indoor Cannabis Arizona offers. My name has been passed around heavily in the industry ever since. I was born and raised in Arizona, where I still reside. I have 25 years of experience growing and smoking connoisseur-grade Cannabis. I’m deeply rooted in the Arizona cannabis industry. I’ve been the lead cultivator at several commercial cultivations since the beginning of prop 203 and have consulted many companies in the cannabis space to aid in their success. Old school growers might remember me from way back, running several Hydroponic stores around Phoenix and Tempe since the early 2000s.

A few years back, I started my first store, Butler Hydroponics, and made a name for myself in the community as a go-to source for all things gardening, including education. Currently, I am co-owner of a Retail Hydroponic Garden Store in AZ (Little Shop of Hydros LLC). We provide high-quality garden products and education to the community and co-owner of a retail and online CBD company (DYNAPURE LLC). We specialize in Health and Wellness and provide the highest quality CBD products and use USDA certified organic hemp in most products we produce. Additionally, I am the Host and Creator of The Stoned Age Potcast; a Nationally recognized cannabis podcast. A show focused on cannabis education, professional interviews, music, lifestyle, and culture. The show has been on air since 2019 and has been making waves in the local Arizona cannabis community, and is now way beyond the AZ borders. We are currently reaching 11,000 plus listeners per month and adding to it continuously. Recently we transitioned into a complete video and audio podcast, which enabled us to add so much more content to the show. I am creating new monthly segments that will eventually be their own sponsored shows under my parent company Con Nada LLC. We have four new monthly segments to date, and I will be adding more as the show grows.

I have strong ties to the community and have volunteered countless hours to better my local community. I have educated the community on proper garden practices and products associated and spearheaded a community garden project in the neighborhood I grew up in and still reside today. I became part of the prominent Phoenix Parks Foundation board with the City of Phoenix and the Mayor’s office and helped facilitate a $70,000 grant to build the garden. I designed the garden and led construction from the ground up, and utilized old High School friends who grew up in the same area and the construction businesses they own to make it happen. Together with the city backing the initiative, we took back the park overrun by drugs, gangs, and homeless and gave it back to the community. Now all you see at the park is families and kids having fun in a safe environment. The Mountain View Community Garden is the only community garden in Arizona teamed up with the City of Phoenix and located within a city park Mountain View Park. Other community projects I have done include developing and designing gardens at several autism centers, community centers, and elementary schools. In addition, I have taught many classes for kids on the concepts of gardening and hydroponics to relate them to where food comes from, which isn’t McDonald’s or the grocery store.

In 2016, I graduated from a prominent class (40 yrs running) developed in Phoenix by a local non-profit, Valle Del Sol. The class is called Hispanic Leadership Institute (HLI), teamed up with ASU. It is focused on identifying leaders in the community and giving them skills and tools to become a better community servant and leader for future generations. It was a board panel interview with only 30 spots and hundreds of professional applicants ranging from politicians, doctors, lawyers, and more. I became the first ever to represent the cannabis industry and change the path for future leaders in that space. I have a deep background in Cannabis and the benefits it brings to the mind, body, and spirit and have worked with proprietary and proven genetics for years to maximize specific benefits the plant embodies. I am a Licensed Dispensary Agent, Licensed MMJ Caregiver, and a Licensed Medical Marijuana Card holder that understands the benefits of Cannabis both THC & CBD and I use the same products to improve my quality of life as well as those around me.

I am a strong believer that the cannabis plant is one of the most useful and beneficial plants mother earth has provided us with to help relieve stress, anxiety, aches and pains as well as many other ailments. The medicinal uses of Cannabis are barely being researched and/or discovered, and with over 20 years experience growing and educating on Cannabis I pride myself on being a leader in this new industry being developed.
